Dr. Hanzhong Li (李含中) is our independent non-executive Director. Dr. Li possesses more than 20 years of experience in finance and biopharmaceutical industry. He is currently a senior vice president at Eureka Therapeutics, Inc., responsible for finance, business and corporate development. Prior to that, Dr. Li had been the chief finance officer of Ascentage Pharma Group International, a company listed on the Stock Exchange (6855.HK), from June 2017 to December 2018, in charge of fund raising, finance and business development. From January 2010 to July 2017, Dr. Li served as the deputy director of strategy and portfolio management department at Bayer Pharmaceuticals. From November 2006 to October 2009, Dr. Li served as a senior vice president of Stanford Financial Group. From September 2003 to June 2006, Dr. Li served as a senior vice president and director of Suntrust Robinson Humphrey. From July 2002 to October 2003, Dr. Li worked for Morgan Stanley. Prior to that, Dr. Li had served as a scientist of Genentech Inc. Dr. Li received a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Washington State University and a Ph.D. degree in pharmacology from Boston University in August 1991 and January 1998, respectively. Dr. Li also obtained an M.B.A. degree from University of California in March 2002.
