Mr. Tong has nearly 20 years of experience in investment banking focusing on the global healthcare sector, and has acquired an in-depth understanding of both the U.S. and Asian healthcare markets. He served as the chief financial officer of InnoCare Pharma Limited, a company listed on the Stock Exchange (9969.HK) between June 2019 and December 2022. From July 2013 to May 2019, Mr. Tong served as executive director in the investment banking research department at UBS AG. From May 2008 to May 2013, Mr. Tong was director in global research at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. From June 2001 to April 2008, Mr. Tong served as an equity analyst in global pharmaceutical equity research at Mehta Partners.

Mr. Tong received his bachelor’s degree in material science and engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China (Hefei) in July 1993, his master’s degree in chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh in August 1996 and an M.B.A. degree in finance from New York University in May 2001.
